Entropy WaitsWhy feeling keeps life aheadNarrator Entropy does not attack. It waits, while every ordered thing slowly gives its energy back to the universe.Timmy So a living body is just borrowing order? But what keeps it from falling apart right now?Narrator Metabolism keeps the structure running: food becomes usable energy, waste leaves, and repair continues before disorder spreads.Mrs. Parker But repair is not enough. If disorder keeps changing the maze, how does life learn a better route?Narrator Evolution built feedback systems. They sense conditions, compare outcomes, and change behavior faster than damage can erase them.Timmy So the system needs information first. But you cannot simulate what you have not sensed. What detects danger?Narrator Feeling supplies the first alarm. Fear, hunger, pain, and curiosity turn raw change into information the body can act on.Mrs. Parker So emotions arrive before the elegant explanation. But why would that matter more than intelligence?Narrator Because without feeling, no signal earns attention. Entropy waits patiently, so emotion makes the first move before thought can save the structure.Plot: Entropy is patient. It doesn't attack — it just waits. Every organism is a temporary structure borrowing order from chaos, powered by continuous metabolic expenditure, fighting a battle it will ultimately lose. Evolution's answer wasn't to beat entropy. It was to build systems that learn faster than entropy destroys. you cannot simulate what you haven't sensed. You cannot sense what you can't feel. Emotions come first — because without them, the universe's default setting wins without a fight. @Timmy: Resourceful 8yr old @Mrs. Parker: Unpredictable Examiner +Theme: Rendered in the style of intricate mythical surrealism, this piece features highly detailed line work with elaborate textures and complex, flowing patterns.
